Accounting Development Internship program is a 10-week paid program
focused on providing current college students with practical
business experience. Currently enrolled students with one year
remaining in their degree program (i.e. rising senior or student
entering final year of a master's program) will gain invaluable
internship work experience within the BMS Global Finance community.
Program participants roles may include Financial Reporting and
Consolidations, Business Controls Finance, Treasury Operations,
Technical Accounting, and other finance areas. Specific
responsibilities include controls testing, consolidation support,
external reporting, analysis, and/or ad-hoc projects.All
internships are based out of Central New Jersey. Interns will
receive coaching from program director, rotational sponsors, and
mentors within the BMS Global Finance Community. Additionally,
interns will have opportunities to network with BMS' finance team.
High performing interns with interest in a full-time Accounting
Development Program (ADP) position upon graduation will be given
preference during the full-time application process.Minimum
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled student, on track to graduate by Spring
2026, seeking a Bachelor's or Masters' degree in accounting or
finance from an accredited institution
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Legal Authorization to work in the United States, without
requiring sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g. H1-B status)
now or in the future
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Proven capability to effectively communicate within work and/or
academic environments, with the ability to adapt messages to suit
various audiencesPreferred Qualifications:
- Ability and desire to sit for the Uniform CPA examination or
CMA examination upon graduation
- Interest in pursuing the full-time ADP program upon
graduation
- Demonstrated leadership experience within a school,
extracurricular, and/or professional setting
- Previous finance and/or accounting internship experience
- Exposure or proficiency in manipulating large sets of data to
perform robust analytics
- Proven track record of working collaboratively in teams
- Completion of accredited Excel or data visualization tool
certificate program or course
- Desire to work towards a leadership role in a large BioPharma
company
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work
