Job Description:

A new cocktail bar & nightlife venue in the East Village is searching for a General Manager to run the show.The ideal candidate is an exceptionally stylish, confident, fashionably chic, social butterfly who effortlessly commands the presence of a room.The GM will be responsible for:

• Being the ambassador of hospitality and curating the guest vibe.
• Creatively building the party and elevating the energy of the room (music, lighting, seating plan, etc).
• Working closely with the door team to ensure the room is curated according to high standards.
• Managing daily guest lists, guest communication, and communication with ownership.
• Providing excellent guest recognition and acknowledgement.
• Actively managing service periods, including cocktail, light food service, and late night service, as well as exclusive private events.
• Staying up to date and maintaining connections within the bar and nightlife industry.
• Recruiting, training, and fostering a positive work environment.
• Coordinating security, FOH, and BOH staff schedules.
• Overseeing the bar team to ensure high-quality service.
• Managing labor budget, cost of goods, sales forecasts, and financial performance.
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience as a GM in Food service & Nightlife.
  • Boundless energy and a solutions-oriented approach.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent guest service and problem-solving abilities.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite applications and software.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Experience in staff coaching, counseling, and HR practices.
  • Able to work late nights, weekends, and holidays.Benefits:
