UnitedHealthcare (UHC) Medicare & Retirement Insurance Solutions
(M&R IS) underwrites and administers the nation's largest
insurance program focusing on the needs of individuals over age 50.

Primary Responsibilities:
The following are tracks where candidates may be placed. Please
note that track placement is dependent on business need and
market/location availability. While we will take your track
preference under consideration, it is not guaranteed:
Software Engineering
Quality Engineering
Data Engineering
IT Operations and Platform Engineering
Enterprise Architecture
This full-time intern position will be available for the summer,
starting June 3, 2025
Sponsorship is not available for this position
The Intern will work with their manager to determine the best work
arrangement for their situation (in office or hybrid) though they
will need to be within a commutable distance to our Horsham, PA
office to bring back the in-person community aspects of the
development program

Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in computer science,
Computer Programming, Information Technology, Computer Engineering,
Data Engineering, MIS, etc. Minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA
Experience or familiarity with at least one cloud provider (AWS,
Azure, or Google Cloud)
Intermediate level of experience with productivity tools such as
Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
General knowledge of databases and script writing
Proficient in core programming concepts and at least one
programming language (Example: Python, Java, C, SQL, .NET)
Proven solid problem-solving skills and ability to work
independently or as part of a team
Proven eagerness to lean and adapt to new technologies and
methodologies
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship,
now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization (F-1
students with practical training and candidates requiring H-1Bs,
TNs, etc. will not be considered)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Big Data tools such as Spark or Scala
Involvement in any additional technical activities (Robotics, Comp.
Science/Tech clubs, Tech or Engineering side projects, GitHub,
etc.) and/or tech related employment experience
