> Nacelles Quality AssuranceNacelle Quality Assurance is part of
the Global Vestas manufacturing & supply chain quality team and is
responsible for the safe launch of new products in manufacturing
factories. The team closely collaborates with R&D and
manufacturing in the planning and execution of quality assurance
activities. We represent the voice of the customer for quality
until handover to the serial production stage. Our accountability
and responsibility are all based on the principles in the APQP4Wind
concept.Responsibilities
- Act as Manufacturing Quality workstream lead in scoping,
planning & coordinating execution of quality assurance activities &
deliverables in the Generator & powertrain project.
- Continuously evaluate the quality risk related to design,
process, material, and tooling and ensure corrective actions are in
place.
- Perform root cause analysis for critical failures and drill
through systemic causes to avoid recurrence of
non-conformities.
- Share lessons learned and best practices between factories &
projects across deploying closed loop quality framework.
- Shop floor/Gemba validation on the inbound, manufacturing &
outbound process and verify the production basis
documentation.
- Support the project with quality requirements, and performance
indicators with targets and report periodically; manage deviations
and escalate to the Steering committee to ensure project quality is
always on track.
- Support functional quality with continuous improvement and
global standardization initiatives in the quality
function.Qualifications
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering with a minimum
of 6+ years' experience in the field of manufacturing and quality
in wind turbine or similar power generation industry.
- Experience working with the manufacturing of electrical
machines in power conversion systems like generators, design for
manufacturing/assembly (Dfx) and working in new product
development.
- Application of APQP principles and quality tools like FMEA,
control plans, capability studies and MSA.
- Systematic problem-solving methodologies like Six Sigma
methodology, 8D, Shainin tools, DOE, etc.
- Experience in system and process audit (like ISO 9001, VDA,
etc) & performance management.
- Motivated and self-driven, particularly focused on meeting
project deadlines.
- Proactive and action-oriented, actively seeking what is needed
to complete tasks.
- Good team focus; enjoy working with a range of people across
various international locations, backgrounds, and cultures.
- Thrive in an ever-changing work environment where no day is the

- Good communication skills in English with a range of
stakeholders; added advantage if you can also communicate in German
