Job SummaryAssists the Team Leader in all aspects of daily
operations including profitability, expense control, buying,
merchandising, labor, regulatory compliance, and special projects
as assigned. Leads and develops Team Members. All Whole Foods
Market Retail jobs require ensuring a positive company image by
providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers
and Team Members at all times. All positions must be performed in
accordance with team and store Standard Operating Procedures.
Further, Team Members must be prepared and able to perform the
duties inherent in other Team Member job descriptions. All
positions must strive to support WFM core values and goals, promote
national, regional, and store programs and initiatives, and ensure
adherence to all applicable health and safety regulations including
Food Safety and regulatory duties required in the department.Key
Responsibilities
- Develops and Maintains Creative Store LayoutDevelops and
maintains creative store layouts and product merchandising to drive
sales and enhance the shopping experience.
- Works with Team Leader to Achieve Sales and Labor TargetsWorks
closely with the Team Leader to achieve sales, purchasing, and
labor targets, ensuring the team is aligned and working towards
common goals.
- Assists with Sales, Reports, and Labor AnalysisAssists the Team
Leader in analyzing sales, reports, and labor to identify trends
and areas for improvement, ensuring data-driven
decision-making.
- Assists with Annual Sales and Expense Projections and Budget
PreparationAssists the Team Leader in preparing annual sales and
expense projections and budget, ensuring accurate forecasting and
planning.
- Assists with Ordering and Inventory ManagementAssists the Team
Leader with ordering and inventory management, ensuring timely
receipt of products and minimizing stockouts.
- Resolves Team Concerns or IssuesWorks with the Team Leader to
resolve team concerns or issues, promoting a positive and
supportive work environment.
- Functions as Point Person and Departmental Person in
ChargeFunctions as the point person and departmental person in
charge in the absence of the Team Leader, ensuring seamless
operations and customer satisfaction.
- Sets and Achieves the Highest Standards of Retail ExecutionSets
and achieves the highest standards of retail execution, ensuring a
world-class shopping experience for customers.

and Working Conditions
